Duncan's Inferno
A Divine Musical Comedy
One man’s hell is another man’s day job.
A hapless historical tour guide’s descent into the underworld… with a lot of sinning, and even more singing.
Unlike Dante’s epic journey, dealing with eternal themes of theology, philosophy and morality – those were simpler times – Duncan’s voyage is an overcrowded clusterfuck full of anyone and everyone, from bullies to politicians to porn stars to vegans to that comedian who made a joke someone didn’t like.
In the mortal realm, everything is now considered sinful by someone, so no one can escape the clutches of eternal damnation. Even hell’s gone to hell, and Virgil’s had enough. He’s looking for his replacement.
Can Duncan reinvent the archaic systems of the nine circles, explain to Socrates what non-binary means, befriend the demons, persuade Minos to lay off the booze, resist the lustful advances of Cleopatra, and eventually save humankind from its impending self-destruction – while also nursing an unbaptized baby, clearing up after a three-headed dog and confronting his ex-girlfriend, with angels on ice-skates hot on his heels…?
Probably not.
